What do you do in your life to intentionally make yourself happy?


Your day is busy, busy with all of the tasks that you do daily. Your To-Do List is jam packed. Many of those tasks can cause stress or potentially make you feel less than yourself.


In the mornings, you're off to work or logging in; you're off to take the kids to school; you're taking care of the fur babies; and the speedy cycle continues when you get home. You are fixing dinner (or buying dinner if you're smart like me lol). You're cleaning the house, doing laundry, getting the kids in the bath, putting the kids to bed, reading bedtime stories--the list goes on and on.


Guess what? That is your routine everyday, and you stay consistent with it. Why? Because if you don't, everything falls apart!

Epiphany#1 - It is Time to Get Intentional about YOU!


Yes, you have to have a plan for how you will release the stress of your life. You plan everything else. It should not be hard to devise a plan for how you will feel good! At your job, there is a plan. At the school, there is a plan. At your home, there is a plan. That is the only way things flow. Within your self, you need a plan and eventually it won't feel like plan at all. It will be a part of your normal routine.

Epiphany#2 - Time is not a factor.


You say you don't have time for anything other than what you have been doing. Ok, so you don't have time for you. You only have time for everyone else? Certainly not! Make a decision today to take some time for you. You have a right to shine bright and feel good!

Epiphany #3 - Money is not a factor.


You say you don't have the money to book a self care appointment. "It's too expensive", you say. What kind of cell phone do you have? What bag do you carry? How is your hair doing? Yes, it's sitting on your head waving beautifully and those nails are doing the same. YES, I am calling you out!


True self-care that helps you grow and feel better overall allows for a release of energy. This looks like a relaxing time where you are not in the energy of a lot of other people. Psst......that means not at the nail salon or hair salon. Yes, you look amazing and that is so important, but how do you feel? How do you truly feel deep down inside? How does your inner child feel? We cannot always cover up real life situations with beauty. Eventually the ugly truth will crawl through to show that we don't have it all together.


Invest in yourself! Invest in the type of self-care appointments that allow you to talk, release, & get tools that can be highly beneficial in your life. The best way to control your happiness is to be prepared for the things that can knock you off your feet. Yep, have an umbrella for the rain and you will be able to keep that beauty that you're flashing right now--instead of being a soggy mess.

Epiphany #4 - You control the way you feel.


You say something is always coming at you sideways like rain in a hurricane, upsetting you, and knocking you down. But why can't you get up laughing? Playing in the rain is fun. Rain is a time of growth in nature and it is a time of growth within you as well.


The more you work on yourself internally, the more you will realize that there is a reason for everything. When you see something coming, it is not so off putting. The problem with you is, you run through your life so fast that you get tripped up by the smallest bumps.


SLOW DOWN! You do have time to stop, look, & listen before you cross the path. It is time to be intentional about the way you feel.


Stop, look, and listen:

  • Stopping to ask yourself how you feel in the moment. Am I vibrating lower (sad, tired, stressed, frustrated, angry)?

  • Looking to see if any parts of the situation can be changed to keep you from heading into a situation that won't make you feel so good.

  • Listening to your true emotions and making a decision that will make you feel higher emotions such as content, happiness, and joy.


Epiphany #5 - Being intentional about your happiness works rather quickly.


You say you've never truly been happy. How long is it going to take to be happy? Have you EVER been INTENTIONAL about your happiness; or did you simply expect it to just be? Did you do something for yourself and then tap your foot like, "ok, I don't feel any different?"


OR, did you go for 1 healing session that made you feel amazing and expect it to last for the rest of your life? You left the session hopping in the air, but went home & continued your same patterns in life. That is not being intentional about your happiness at all. Most things in your life require a level of commitment in order to be the most effective. You don't go to work one time and expect to get paid for the rest of your life. So, you must understand that your happiness requires a level of investment as well in order for you to keep feeling your best.


Being intentional about your happiness is making a decision to choose better for yourself.


Choosing better may look like stepping away from some people who have been draining you. It may look like making a decision to invest in yourself through Counseling/Coaching. It may look like hiring a personal trainer. It may look like hiring a housekeeper or asking for help with your work in the home. Basically, it is time to invest in you the way you invest in everyone else! Pour good vibes into yourself and you raise your vibration up to where happiness lives and rainbows grow.
