Who are you?

Discovering who you are can uncover who you are meant to be.

Why do you keep searching for happiness?

As a people, we are always searching for the next big thing. The excitement is in the dig and find: the new crystal, the new location, the new fad, the new trend, the new relationship. But, what about the old? When you add new experiences into your life, that does not change the old experiences. They are still there, lying underneath the surface dormant

... or maybe not.

Maybe those old experiences are deep down sizzling and bubbling ready to erupt. Just because the volcano has not had any activity in years does not mean the volcano does not exist. You are still capable of erupting & uncovering everything that you have been trying to hide. The shadows are still there holding you back from happiness; if you have not dealt with them.

Yes, happiness is in the dig; but it is not always in unearthing new grounds. It's sifting through what you have right in your own back yard. Who are you?

You keep searching for happiness, because you do not really know who you are. You have packed down the traumas so firmly, that you have encased your gifts with that which you do not wish to see. Essentially, your gifts are hidden within your traumas. Turbulent waters often bring us to the other side of paradise. The side that has been untouched by damaging hands and wandering feet--the unexplored gifts within.

You may currently feel broken or "all used up", but no one can ever damage the gem within you: the breath. That is from where your unique light emits ever so gently. At the moment, you feel heavy. You have allowed your life experiences to cover your precious gem with ashes and smoke.

It is time to breathe!

I don't know what "breathing" looks like. Help me!

Breathing is being AUTHENTIC.

  • Choose your clothes without worrying about the trends. Your body tells you every morning what it wants to wear. Colors are significant to the frequency within the body. Chakras (your energy centers) resonate with specific colors that have deep meaning. Your body wants what it needs. Your body does not need trendy outfits to feel whole.

  • Post on social media without following a trend. If you want to make a post, do it without searching for what you should be posting. Post what you feel in your core. In everything that you do, even on social media, make sure it is an expression of you and not a projection of a false reality--or don't do it at all.

  • Step outside of titles such as "introvert" or "shy". You behave as the title that you place upon yourself. If you say you are an introvert, then you may feel the need to only associate with other self proclaimed introverts. This can essentially cause you to be boxed into a title that may not fully fit who you are. Ultimately, making moves as a clique is not truly finding self.

  • Spend some time in your own energy. Go have lunch alone or go for a walk alone. The only way to truly discover self is to hangout with self! You learn what you like when you ask yourself--simple.
